Staying Calm In The Storm

Staying calm in the storm
It's something people have said
It's something we are taught by others
Saying you need to know God is in the storm
But to stay calm in the storm isn't exactly what you think
It's not about blindly staying calm when chaos erupts
It's much more than that
Staying calm in the storm is more about knowing
Knowing God is in the storm and also controlling it
It's about knowing that God won't allow the storm to do more then it was allowed
And sometimes
It's about the fact that God prepared you for the storm
It's how He showed you the storm
Before the storm even came
How He showed you the puzzle pieces before fixing the puzzle
He shared with you the events before the events unfolded
He prepared you not to panic when everything seems to be slipping
How He taught you to be aware of what will come but maybe not when
God shows His people the future
He shows them how things will be
He reminds them that it will happen
But not only does He do that
But He shows that it needs to happen
But even through the storm, there are blessings
The storm WILL come
But He will help you through it
It doesn't mean you will always come out unscaved
But He promises to be there with you
He takes on the storm together to strengthen you
He holds you up when it's too much
He shields you when you cant stand anymore
He's got your back through it all
Sometimes watching the storm
Is like watching a movie where you read the book first
You know what will happen and in what order
But movies and books are a bit different from each other
So some events are different then what you pictured
But even so, you knew it would happen
And you knew it in order
God revealed it to you because He loves you
Because He wants you to trust Him
Because He wants you to see His hand through it all
Storms are normal
Storms bring ruin
They break and hurt
The make things unpleasant 
Maybe even uncomfortable
But for those who are prepared
For those who have God on their side
For those who trust the Lord
The storm sometimes even feels like a cup of coffee on the porch while watching it pass
So dont be afraid
Dont be discouraged
Storms will always be there
Just lean on God
Ask for directions
And the strongest Storms
Come to the strongest warriors
And remember
When you are precious to God
He will always stay by your side
Even if you dont feel His presence
